Denver Airport Vegan Restaurant Root Down Wins Best in World

Vegan and health food lovers have a bucket list airport vegan restaurant to add this year.

At the 8th annual Airport Food and Beverage (FAB) Conference and Awards in June 2019, Denver International Airport scored a big win in the vegan food category. Vegan restaurant Root Down at Denver Airport won best health-centred food offering at an airport. It took the top worldwide spot for healthy food. Quite the title!

What’s on Root Down’s airport vegan restaurant menu?

Root Down offers globally influenced seasonal cuisine that’s locally sourced with a field-to-fork ethos.

They do breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can get something healthy any time of day. They offer raw foods, burgers, sandwiches, bento boxes, soups, salads, sharing plates and desserts. Drinks include a selection of cocktails, coffee and tea, and fresh juices.

The restaurant not only has amazing vegan food, but the design is unforgettable. Sustainability is everywhere in Root Down’s decor. Where others see junk, they see beauty.

Elements like recycled hood ornaments, globes suspended from the ceiling and aluminum can lids give Root Down a genuinely unique look. The riot of colour is a lively and uplifting change from many a bland airport eatery.

Location, hours, service and prices

Root Down is located near C Gates in the Center Core and is open from 7 am to 9 pm every day. They have a full bar and table service. You’ll spend around $10-20 for a meal.

Visiting this award-winning restaurant is like heading to a destination before you reach your actual destination.
