However, I’ve been living my best beauty-product-testing life vicariously through creeping my friends’ Instagram feeds.

My friend Claire McCormack is an indie beauty cognoscenti. She writes and speaks about the independent beauty and wellness space — the people, companies, and trends driving the industry forward. Don’t miss the story she wrote for Vane on airport spas.

She tests all kinds of beauty products and treatments on her Instagram page.

Claire also travels when she can and is no stranger to the challenges of beauty and skincare on the go.

Lumify eye drops

Claire: Because the red-eye can give you red eyes!

A redness reliever like no other, Lumify (brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution 0.025%) is the first and only over-the-counter eye drop developed with low-dose brimonidine tartrate for the treatment of ocular redness due to minor eye irritations. Their website says it works in 1 minute and lasts up to 8 hours.

  1. Omg. Long haul flights do a number on me. Once the plane descends, flatulence signals the transformation, upon which I deplane as a zombie- and within a day, the clear complexion I left in San Francisco has shown up in DC as dry and pimply! What do u recommend to combat altitude acne?
